A Word From Dr. James Bogash

I’m one of those unusual individuals that really enjoyed my cellular physiology class in graduate school. I am still fascinated by physiology, and I’m always learning more about the human body. In a typical month, I scan more than one hundred peer-reviewed medical journals, looking for the latest research on natural medicine, nutrition, disease prevention and disease management.

The focus of my practice is Functional Medicine. What does this mean for you?
It means that I am primarily concerned with the finding causes of your problems, and the ways by which we can prevent them from recurring, rather than focusing on your symptoms. It means that I am concerned with your entire medical history and lifestyle, and the ways that these factors impact your health. If you come to me with any pain,
I will look for all of the factors that are contributing to your pain and all of the methods by which we can prevent the pain from recurring.
